Night Curfew in UP Announced (11pm — 5am)

Government Announced Night curfew in UP Starting 25th December


On Thursday, 31 New cases of Covid-19 were reported in UP whereas the state has 2 active cases of omicron. After which, a night curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. has been announced by the government because of the worry of the omicron variant.

What is surprising is the fact that this announcement has been made after the request of the Allahabad High Court to postpone the up elections by a month or two to the Election Commission of India. As during the last Panchayat elections the cases of covid increased rapidly and it was a difficult situation for doctors to handle so many patients and it was life threatening.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also requested the shopkeepers to follow the policy of ‘no mask, no product’ strictly. And from now on the maximum number of people attending a wedding or a school function is confirmed to be 200 and these people must follow the covid protocol properly.

Shivraj Chauhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh also announced a night curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. in Madhya Pradesh as a preventive measure for the omicron variant. The state has not got a single report of a omicron, yet.
